What is Diverticular Disease? Diverticulosis, Diverticulitis – Digestinol

What is Diverticular Disease

Diverticular Disease is a combination of someone having both Diverticulosis and Diverticulitis. Diverticular Disease is also considered to be a very common condition to develop.

Diverticulosis is a condition that is a result of small pockets or pouches (which are called Diverticula) forming within the muscle of the wall of the large intestine. Diverticulitis is the classification of the disease once these Diverticula become infected or inflamed. There are over 200,000 new cases of Diverticulitis each year.

In most cases, there are no symptoms reported in those that have only Diverticulosis (Diverticula, the small pouches). For most people the symptoms only begin to appear once those pouches become infected or inflamed (Diverticulitis). It is estimated that 1 in 4 people that develop Diverticulosis, will go on and develop Diverticulitis.

The Diverticula (small pouches that form in the large intestine) can vary in size and they tend to form in the weakest sections of the muscle. The reason that they sometimes become infected and turn the disease into a painful situation is because these pockets will allow feces to become trapped in them. Then after some time, the feces trapped there will cause the area to become inflamed and infected. This inflammation can cause serious abdominal pain on a patients left side.

Diverticulitis symptoms can include the following:

•Flu like symptoms
•Shivering
•Bloating
•Rectal bleeding
•Nausea and vomiting
•Being pale and clammy
•Tenderness and pain in the abdomen
•Weakness and fatigue
•Heart palpitations
Diverticulosis is fairly common for people to develop within their lifetime. For most people it will begin to develop after the age of 40. About one third of Americans will likely develop this condition before they reach 60, while two thirds will have it by age 85. Again, Diverticulosis is just the forming of the Diverticula pouches. Just because someone has these pouches doesn’t mean they will experience any pain associated with them. Those Diverticula pouches would have to become infected/inflamed for the pain and other symptoms to appear.

What causes the Diverticulosis?

The main cause can be traced to a person’s eating habits, mainly a low fiber diet. Consuming a fiber rich diet helps the colon process waste easier than if it was lacking fiber. Fiber draws water into the feces (waste) which allows the stool to become soft and bulky which makes it easier to pass. A high fiber diet also speeds up the process to help prevent constipation.

Without a lot of fiber in a person’s diet the stools can become hard and that forces the colon to use more effort to expel the stool. It is suggested that because of the combination of a low fiber diet (causing small and hard stools), the extra force that a colon has had to work, and the age of a person – that this is what causes the Diverticula pouches to form in the weaker areas of the colon.

The largest complaint from those with Diverticulitis is the abdominal pain caused by the inflammation of the infected areas. Digestinol works well to reduce the inflammation in these areas with its soothing ingredients. If the inflammation is reduced, then the pain is reduced. Since Digestinol is 100% all natural, you don’t need to have a prescription to take it. And if you would like, it can be taken in combination with your current medications. There also are no side effects with Digestinol since it is 100% all natural. Its main focus is to reduce inflammation in your digestive system.

While some modern medicines claim to be a benefit to those suffering from Diverticulosis, Diverticulitis, and Diverticular Disease, many of our customers have told us of their difficulties from taking those prescription medicines and the nasty side effects they bring.

Since Digestinol is 100% all-natural it doesn’t bring along the side effects that other chemically based prescription medications have. What we tell our customers is to think of Digestinol as an all-natural vitamin that reduces inflammation and provides your body with specific nutrients that allow it to take back control of itself. Digestinol will help to balance the good and bad bacteria levels in your body allowing it to regain control of normal operations.

  1. It’s really a great and helpful piece of information. I am happy that you just shared this helpful info with us.
Please keep us up to date like this. Thank you for sharing.

  2. I have come across your posts while looking online for information about my recently diagnosed Diverticulitis and they have been very helpful. I actually went to a local support group and someone mentioned they tried your capsules and had a lot of success with them, so I also tried them and am glad to report I have also felt much better than before. The cramping and pains are completely gone.

  3. I stumbled over here somehow and I’m skeptical by nature, but after years an years of taking prescription med’s and having them make me feel horrible, I ordered your product.

I don’t know why I did, because I figured it was some sort of snake oil. But thankfully, I was completely wrong! I have been suffering for so many years when I could have been feeling better with your capsules. Well lesson learned, I shouldn’t be so skeptical in the future, I can be cautious but open to try new things.

Thank you for these capsules, they have made me feel so much better.

  4. Almost through ym very first bottle and I am seeing an improvement with my diverticulitis. Someone in a support group mentioned these and I “was” doubtful, but not anymore 🙂
