What is Diverticulosis & Diverticulitis?

Would you be surprised if we told you that Diverticulosis is a very common disease, which affects both women and men?

Diverticulosis is a disease that occurs in your colon and is when small pockets or pouches form in the colon’s lining.

If you are usually constipated and are 50-60 yrs. old or older, chances are that you may have it without even knowing it, as almost half of all people who are 60 or older, suffer from it.

Diverticulosis doesn’t happen often to kids or those younger than 30 yrs. old. Studies have shown that men may get it more than women.

Diverticulosis has no cure and the bad news is that it doesn’t even cause symptoms at all.

So then how will you know if you have it? Most people find out by accident. They visit their doctor for something else, and then the doctor performs a routine exam of the colon, an x-ray or a colonoscopy, and that’s when the doctor notices these abnormalities in your colon.

To confirm you have Diverticulosis, your doctor will:

1. Do a physical exam, which can include a digital rectal exam.

Not the most fun of exams, but with a lubricated gloved finger, he’ll gently and carefully check your anus for bleeding, pain, or other signs.

2. Check your medical history.

He’ll ask about your general health, diet, medication you take, and how often you have bowel movements.

He will probably ask you about your family history as well.

3. Perform additional tests, like:

A colonoscopy, which looks in your colon and rectum.

A CT scan, which makes images of your digestive tract.

A lower GI series, which uses X-rays to get a much better look at your large intestine.

A blood sample to show if you have any signs of inflammation or anemia.

There are a few factors that can make your more prone to developing Diverticulosis than other people:

1. Family History: If someone in your family had or has this disease.

2. Aging: In most people aging can decrease the elasticity and strength of you colon wall, which can lead to weak spots where those pouches form.

3. Constipation: This means you usually have to strain your muscles to have a bowel movement.

Now how is constipation related to Diverticulosis, you may wonder?

When your colon has to push hard, dry stools through your anus, it creates a lot of pressure in your colon.

This pressure causes weak spots in your colon’s wall. Over the years, extra pressure can cause the lining of your colon to push through these weak spots, forming those pouches or pockets.

The main thing to know is that these pouches are not inflamed or infected. If your doctor determines that they are, you’ll be diagnosed with Diverticulitis. So how or why will these pouches get infected in the first place?

It usually happens when a pouch is blocked by stool that’s traveling through your colon to your rectum. Bacteria from the waste builds up and causes an infection.

While there are no signs at all for the majority of people when having Diverticulosis, Diverticulitis does show one common sign, which is the feeling of pain in the lower left side of your abdomen.

Different people have experienced pain in many levels. Some feel a severe pain that comes on suddenly; others experience a mild pain, which gets worst over a period of days.

Other symptoms of Diverticulitis are cramping, constipation, diarrhea, changes of bowel habits, tenderness in the abdomen, nausea, chills and even vomiting.

Not everyone who suffers from Diverticulosis will have Diverticulitis. Experts say that only about 10 to 25% of people will get it. This news is very comforting and motivating for many people, because there’s a few things you can do in order to prevent Diverticulitis.

Many people get worried and assume that Diverticulosis leads to cancer. The great news is that it doesn’t, however, it may lead to many other complications including inflammation, infection, as mentioned above, and bleeding or intestinal blockage – which can be painful and stressful.

Digestinol

Digestinol is an all-natural supplement that helps support and promote digestive health as well as support your immune system. Its biggest benefit is the ability to target and reduce inflammation within your digestive system. Inflammation along your digestive system is one of the main reasons for pain/discomfort associated with digestive disorders. It can help with both constipation as well as diarrhea, because it gets your body back to normal so the amount of fluid in your colon is regulated the way it should be.

What is Digestinol?

Our product contains AMP (Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharides) which is an all-natural molecule found in the aloe vera plant. It is known to enhance the body’s immune system due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. We have a 97-98% success rate reported from people who take Digestinol as directed for 90 days or longer.

If you are not interested in prescription medications to treat your condition and prefer a more natural approach, Digestinol makes all-natural capsules that contain a very specific form of Aloe Polysaccharides to target the inflammation along your digestive tract.

These capsules also provide your body with the nutrients that it is lacking in order to take back control of itself. Digestinol isn’t just Aloe Vera powder, Aloe Vera (contains Aloein) which irritates your digestive system and can cause diarrhea. Digestinol undertakes very specific additional steps in order to remove the Aloein during their extraction process to focus on only the beneficial portions of the Aloe Leaf, the long chain Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharide molecules.

Since Digestinol is 100% all-natural it doesn’t bring along the side effects that other chemically based prescription medications have. We tell our customers to think of Digestinol as an all-natural digestive system specific vitamin that reduces inflammation and provides your body with specific nutrients that allow it to take back control of itself.

Our Digestinol capsules will also help to balance the good and bad bacteria levels in your body allowing it to regain control of its normal operations.
